God Had Other Plans

God had other plans for you
I guess this world's too mean
He took you to a better place
Where the grass is always green.

God had other plans for you
Little angel, earn your wings
protect those you're supposed to
and always do nice things.

God had other plans for you
All the way up in heaven
I'm just a little sad
I'll never teach you, count to seven.

God had other plans for you
I know you're in good care
After all his son was our savior
head upturned; I sit and stare.

God had other plans for you
his angels will keep you well
You'll never have to know sickness
Or this life that some call hell.

God had other plans for you
Way above the stars
in time the battle will stop
bandage the open scars.

God had other plans or you
a special little life preserved by love
flying off to everywhere
on the snow white wings of a dove.

God had other plans for you
he'll have you wait for me
how ever long that will take
then I can rock you on my knee.

God had other plans for you
so I couldn't tell you goodbye
you were gone before helo
no answer for the why.

The Empty Womb

I carried you so lovingly,
within my gentle womb...
and little did I realize,
your life would end too soon.

I never got the chance to say
"I love you, little one"...
before I held you in my arms,
your life on earth was done.

The grief is indescribable,
to lose a child this way...
all the many hopes and dreams,
just vanished on that day.

I know I'll see the sun shine bright
upon my baby's face...
when I finally get to heaven,
all my pain will be erased.

We'll soar the skies together,
as angels two by two...
we'll have a sweet reunion;
this mother's dream come true

Baby Bouquet

My Baby Bouquet

Deep inside my being, where joy and affection thrives and grows,
It has become abundantly fruitful from the love of my growing children.
But the love I keep secluded from conversational scrutiny,
Are for the babies I failed to ripen within my womb.
The babies that were swept from my body too soon to take root...
Now, just mere thoughts, cared for by my memory.

My arms may never hold them but my heart bears their weight.
Unable to reach out, my thoughts do, effortlessly.
Tho' I never linger too long in this secret garden of shadows and whispers,
I find myself wandering there when my mind is still
and the gate's been left ajar.

I can't but I can......

I can't tell you how it feels,
To hear Him cry.
But I can tell you how it feels,
To watch Him die.

I can't tell you how it feels,
To see Him smile.
But I can tell you how it feels,
To be in denial.

I can't tell you how it feels,
To hear Him laugh.
But I can tell you how it feels,
To give Him his only bath.

I can't tell you how it feels,
To see Him crawl.
But I can tell you how it feels,
To lose something so small.

I can't tell you how it feels,
To hear Him speak.
But I can tell you how it feels,
To hold Him, oh so weak.

I can't tell you how it feels,
To see Him walk.
But I can tell you how it feels,
To be in shock.

I can't tell you how it feels,
To see Him graduate.
But I can tell you how it feels,
To grieve in private.

I can't tell you how it feels,
To see Him marry.
But I can tell you how it feels,
To be angry.

I can't tell you how it feels,
To see Him with children.
But I can tell you how it feels,
To have no answer to your question.

I can't tell you how it feels,
To have Him in my life.
But can tell you how it feels,
To have Him in my heart.

I love you Hunter Dean!
Happy 9th month!

Mommy's Little Baby

Mommy's little baby is not really far away
I'm keeping you in my heart and that's how it's gonna stay!
Although you didn't meet me and look into my eyes
Mommy will be thinking of you when I look up in the skies
And when I feel the sunshine ... shining down on me
I will know you're safe & happy and where you have to be
I have so many questions and there are no answers to find
But don't think for just a second that you'll ever leave my mind
You my precious angel made a mommy out of me
But our Father up in Heaven chose to raise you instead of me
God must have so much in store and wonderful plans for you
So I will carry this burden of pain so all your dreams come true!
So don't you cry any tears my love - be happy and be free
When God decides it's time.... you will meet Daddy and me
You are very special both here and in heaven above
No matter where you are my angel you have Daddy & Mommy's Love!

What Makes a Mother

I thought of you and closed my eyes
And prayed to God today.
I asked what makes a Mother
And I know I heard him say.

A Mother has a baby
This we know is true.
But God can you be a Mother
When your baby's not with you?

Yes, you can He replied
With confidence in His voice
I give many women babies
When they leave is not their choice.

Some I send for a lifetime
And others for a day.
And some I send to feel your womb
But there's no need to stay

I just don't understand this, God
I want my baby here
He took a breath and cleared His throat
And then I saw a tear.

I wish I could show you
What your child is doing today.
If you could see your child smile
With other children and say

"We go to earth to learn our lessons
Of love and life and fear.
My Mommy loved me oh so much
I got to come straight here.
I feel so lucky to have a Mom
Who had so much love for me
I learned my lesson very quickly
My mommy set me free.

I miss my Mommy oh so much
But I visit her each day.
When she goes to sleep
On her pillow's where I lay.

I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek
And whisper in her ear.
Mommy don't be sad today
I'm your baby and I'm here."

So you see my dear sweet one
Your children are ok
Your babies are here in My home
And this is where they'll stay.

They'll wait for you with Me
Until your lesson is through.
And on the day that you come home
They'll be at the gates for you.

So now you see what makes a Mother
It's the feeling in your heart.
It's the love you had so much of
Right from the very start.

Through some on earth may not realize you are a Mother,
Until their time is done.
They'll be up here with Me one day
And you know you're the best one!
